Internal Investigations

Internal investigations are often performed as the result of some alleged misconduct or dishonesty of an employee or executive. An internal investigation may be prudent as a result of a whistleblower complaint, the issuance of a subpoena by the Justice Department or other federal or state agency, or the filing of a lawsuit against the company. Often the company may itself recognize a compliance issue and may require the assistance we offer in developing effective internal controls and compliance procedures.
