{"id":285,"date":"2010-10-18T13:52:53","date_gmt":"2010-10-18T13:52:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whistleblowerlawyerblog.com\/2010\/10\/links_to_sec_whistleblower_and.html"},"modified":"2021-06-11T17:47:09","modified_gmt":"2021-06-11T21:47:09","slug":"links_to_sec_whistleblower_and","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.finchmccranie.com\/whistleblower-blog\/links_to_sec_whistleblower_and\/","title":{"rendered":"Links to SEC Whistleblower and CFTC Whistleblower Lawyer Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qui-tam-litigation.com\/who-we-are.html\">whistleblower lawyer blog <\/a>has followed closely the development of the first potentially meaningful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whistleblowerlawyerblog.com\/sec_whistleblower_or_bounty_pr\/\">SEC Whistleblower and Commodities Whistleblower Programs. <\/a> That link provides regular updates.<\/p>\n<p>Based on our firm&#8217;s long experience in representing whistleblowers, we were asked by the Senate Banking Committee staff for input in how the new SEC and CFTC whistleblower provisions of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whistleblowerlawyerblog.com\/new_sec_whistleblower_rewards_2\/\">July 2010 Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act <\/a>should work.  We urged that the Senate change the tepid House version, which provided no meaningful rewards to whistleblowers, in favor of an enforceable right for SEC and CFTC whistleblowers to a significant reward.  <\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, that approach is now the law.  We are currently working on select Dodd-Frank whistleblower matters involving SEC whistleblowers and Commodities whistleblowers, as well as our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whistleblowerlawyerblog.com\/how_whistleblower_lawyers_work\/\">False Claims Act <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whistleblowerlawyerblog.com\/new_irs_whistleblower_program_1\/\">IRS Whistleblower <\/a>cases.
