\nAfter reporting on the SEC’s investigation and findings of 20 years of “misstatements” by the LDS Church and Ensign Peak Advisors, Inc<\/a>., the Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a>‘s Jonathan Weil<\/a> again reports on facts revealed by our SEC and IRS whistleblower submissions on behalf of our client, David Nielsen.\u00a0 Mr. Nielsen exposed violations of law relating to a what he called a “clandestine hedge fund” affiliated with the Mormon Church, in his recent appearance on 60 Minutes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Turning to IRS violations, this WSJ<\/em> article<\/a> addresses in part why, \u201c[o]n its 2007 return, Ensign Peak put down \u20181,000,000\u2019 for its total assets. The real number was about $38 billion, an Ensign Peak document shows.\u201d<\/p>\n
