Doctors and patients should watch for swelling, injection, and other complications where the drug is injected. The FDA emphasizes that the proper needle must be used when administering Vivitrol.  Also, the drug should be injected into muscle, not fatty tissue.<br \/>\nMore than 200 reports of skin problems have been reported among patients.
